2006 - 2007 Season
Boys
U-10/11 DSC - This team is made is made up of 2 true U-11 players, and 11 U-10 boys, playing up a year. The team had a great fall season finishing 2nd overall in the U-11 "C Orange" division. With a record of 6-1. We will be moved up to U-11 B in the spring.
Our 1st tournament was Hartford Kick some Grass in August. We went 2-1-1 in this first tournament. We made it to the finals and finished in 2nd place. We lost to Dousman SFIU a U-11A team in the finals. It was good for DSC to go 1 and 2 at U-11. Our next tournament was the Pepsi Cup. We played in the B division and went 4-0 this weekend. We made it to the finals and won our 1st big tournament. Not bad for a bunch of U-10 boys. Our last tournament was Racine Lighthouse. It was a great weekend 2 games on Saturday, 3 on Sunday. We went 3-0 in our bracket in U-11B. We made it to the final match and it had to go to penalty shoot-out. We won in a shoot-out. Our goal-keeper Clark Page stopped 2 shots to give us the win. We went 5-0 in this tournament and what a way to end the season. Our season was a great time. We went 17-2-1 in our 1st season as a select team and we are looking forward to spring.
U-11 DSC started the spring 2007 season by traveling to Cincinnati for the PRF United Cup. They won their bracket and finished 2nd in the tournament. This tournament draws some of the best teams from Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia and Virginia. A great start to the spring.
U-11 SFIU - Currently ranked 1st in the state of Wisconsin and ranked 28th in Region 2. We finished a very successful fall season, having won the Hartford Kick Some Grass tournament in August; 2nd place in the FC Milwaukee Invite; and champions at the Pepsi Cup. We also finished the 1st session at Brookfield Indoor as champions.
U-12 White - This was DSC White’s (U12 boys) first year together as a team and it was made up of U11 and U12 age kids. We competed in the MYRSL U-12 C Orange division. We competed in two tournaments (Hartford (1-2-0) and Racine (2-1-0)). The Racine tournament went very well for the boys and was a turning point of our season. We played all A and B division teams and won our division and ended up losing our semifinal game to a Premier Division team. Our final record for the fall season was 3-3-2, which put us in third place in our division. We are very excited for the spring season.
DSC White started their spring season with the Reddan Spring Shootout tournament, winning their bracket and finishing first in their division (Vilas). Click on this link to see the results.
U-13 SFIU - Currently ranked 9th in the state of Wisconsin. We will be playing in the State League in the spring. We finished a very successful fall season, having won the Hartford Kick Some Grass and Best of the Midwest tournaments; 2nd place at the Pepsi Cup; and champions at the Dhaliwal tournament in Mequon. We also finished the 1st session at Brookfield Indoor as champions of the Premier division.
U-13 Tornadoes - The fall 2006 season proved to be a series of close games. Of the 8 regular season games, 5 were within 1 point, leaving the Tornadoes with a record of 2-5-1. The new Tornadoes team progressed nicely through the season, though. After overcoming a series of beginning season injuries, they really came together as a team. With four new U-13 teams entering the league, the "C" division turned out to be a very strong division. In both the fall season and winter indoor sessions, the Tornadoes fared better against "B" level teams than "C". The turning point in the Tornadoes' fall season came with their second place finish in the Pepsi Cup. Dominating all three opponents in match play, the Tornadoes won all their qualifying games and made it to the championship game, against regular season rival New Berlin Roadrunners. The game remained tied until the final minute of regulation time, when the Roadrunners slipped the winning goal by the Tornado defense.
This Spring season will focus on fine tuning, and turning those one-point games in our favor. The team will also add in a few Spring tournaments and continue to build a strong foundation to grow on. U-15 Phoenix - The Phoenix started the spring 2007 season by traveling to Cincinnati for the PRF United Cup. They won their bracket and finished 2nd in the tournament. They were one of four DSC teams to travel to Ohio for this tournament. They are excited to start their State League schedule.
U-15 Storm - The DSC Storm finished the Spring season taking 1st Place in State League First Division with a record of 6-1-0. We had an outstanding season scoring 26 goals and only allowing 10 during our regular league games. In tournament play, we took 2nd Place at the Madison Spring Shoot Out Tournament and were Champions at the Oshkosh on the Water Tournament. The DSC Storm team
looks
forward to
playing in the State League "Premier" Division next Spring.
U-17 Blackwolves - The Blackwolves finished the indoor season winning both the second and third sessions at Brookfield Indoor. They also started the spring 2007 season by traveling to Cincinnati for the PRF United Cup. They played up in a U-18 division and won their bracket and finished 2nd in the tournament, losing in the final 1-0. A very strong start to the season.
Girls
U-13 Stampede - This was the Stampede’s (U13 girls), first year with DSC. We competed in the SECL A Division. It took the team some time to build chemistry and get acclimated to the full size field. Once we did though we were a force to be reckoned with and finished the season strong! We competed in 3 tournaments (Hartford (1-1-1); Madison (2-0-1); and Appleton (1-1-1)). The Appleton tournament was the turning point of our season. We played all 1st Division teams in this tournament and went an impressive 1-1-1. The girls stood tall and played great that weekend. Prior to this tournament, we were 0-2 in league play. After that, we went 4-0-1 (this included a tie with the first place team in our league, who entered the game with a record of 7-0-0). Our final record for the fall season was 4-2-1, which put us in a tie for 4th place. Had we been able to get a makeup game rescheduled with the last place team in our league, we would have finished in a tie for 2nd. We are excited for the spring season.
U-14 Timberwolves - The Timberwolves were SECL A Division LEAGUE CHAMPIONS for fall 2006. The Timberwolves went undefeated 6-0-1 in finishing first of eight teams. They gave up only 4 goals while scoring 14. They were champions at the Racine Lighthouse tournament. They were undefeated with a perfect record of 4-0 including wins against 2 state league teams. They gave up no goals in the tournament by shutting out every opponent while scoring 10 goals. The team also fared well against top competition in the Brookfield Pepsi Cup tournament tying Brookfield Red (premier) 0-0 and LCU Red (1st Division) 0-0. They were 1st session champions at Brookfield Indoor with an undefeated record of 5-0-1. They led the league with least goals against and most goals for.
The Timberwolves were the fourth team start their spring by making the trip to Ohio for the PRF United Cup, posting two ties against Premier level teams from Michigan and Kentucky. They are very excited to see how this spring season will unfold.
U-16 Fusion - The Fusion were in the State League First Division for fall 2006. The Fusion did extremely well in their state league debut posting a solid record of 3 wins, 2 losses and 3 ties. The team placed 5th in the league out of 10 teams, and will be playing in the State League First Division again in the fall of 2007.
U-17 Lazers - The Lazers were comprised of 12 very committed individuals who love the game of soccer. The team played in the A division of the SECL and finished in third place with a record of 3 wins, 2 losses and 1 tie, despite having to play two games short of the normal eleven players, due to injury. I am extremely proud of the girls for their dedication and enthusiasm. They were truly a joy to coach.
U-19 Lasers - The Lasers stepped up to the Premier level for the first time, and did very well posting a league record of 3-1-3 and finishing 4th out of 9 teams. This is a terrific result especially considering that most of the girls are young and could have competed at the U-17 level. The girls finished 3rd in the Waukesha Augustfest tournament and 2nd in the Pepsi Cup Tournament.
